Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, our home was filled with the sounds of gospel, jazz, soul, country, and rhythm and blues. My father loved music, and through his record collection, I discovered artists whose sounds would stay with me for a lifetime.
I never believed that music had to fit into just one category. Every genre has its own way of telling a story, touching a heart, and expressing something meaningful. Today, as a songwriter, I embrace those influences while keeping my faith at the heart of what I create.
“Music has never been about fitting into one genre for me. It’s about telling the story, sharing the message, and allowing every melody to speak from the heart.”
My musical journey began long before I ever stepped into a recording studio. At home, my Pop’s record collection introduced me to an incredible variety of sounds, from Miles Davis and James Brown to Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and Gladys Knight. Meanwhile, the church nurtured my love for gospel music, where I learned to sing with conviction and allow every word to carry meaning.
As the years passed, my journey carried me through church choirs, gospel groups, R&B, and performing with a Top 40 band. Poetry and spoken word also became important ways for me to express my thoughts, emotions, faith, and life experiences. My appreciation for reggae grew naturally from my love of rhythm, soul, and meaningful storytelling, with artists like Beres Hammond and Morgan Heritage deepening that connection.
Today, all those influences come together in my songwriting. Whether I’m creating gospel, country, R&B, reggae, jazz-inspired music, or spoken word, each piece has its own story to tell. The styles may change, but my desire to share messages of faith, love, hope, and the experiences that have shaped my life remains the same.

One Heart, Many Melodies
From the church choir where my musical roots took hold to the many sounds I’ve embraced throughout my life, every experience has helped shape the songwriter I am today. Gospel remains at the heart of my music, but I believe a message of faith, love, and hope can travel through any genre. Whether it’s jazz, R&B, country, reggae, or a simple melody of worship, my prayer is that every song reaches someone who needs to hear it.
To God be All the Glory!
